Hills & West is excited to announce it will be showcasing with 5 other gorgeous Australian designer labels in The Rocks, Sydney from 18 August to 16 September 2018.
The collaboration with five other like-minded brands include Cedar & Onyx (classic luxury for women of all sizes), Everyday Cashmere (cashmere, silk, and cashmere essentials), Boehm Intimates (lingerie of delicate lace and luxe), Extraordinary Ordinary Day (the holy grail of handmade shoes) and Susan Driver (handmade jewellery).
Hills & West will be stocking some of our best-sellers, such as our 3 in 1 backpack, along with our more recent collections, the Chevron Collection.
The concept of the space, officially called “6 on 77½ George”, is to bring unique, stylish, Australian made designs for independent people who want a curated look. All the designers share a similar ethos to Hills & West – to challenge high street fashion and everydayness, creating unique and stylish pieces without sacrificing functionality.
Our store also coincides with Vogue’s Fashion Night Out. We are excited to announce that we will be available for face to face time with you on this night, 6 September, to talk about our design processes and answer any questions you may have. As Kathryn Cowle of Cedar and Onyx eloquently stated in our recent Collaboration blog
“Design-conscious consumers are less and less interested in dealing with faceless corporations and in disposable garments.”
We are also really excited about the location of our store. In the historical Rocks, the space oozes with character and charm. Have a stroll around the areas and enjoy the unique mix of eighteenth, nineteenth and early twentieth-century architecture, and read the stories of the traditional owners of the lands, the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, scattered on plaques and throughout the cute little side streets.
The Rocks is now a bustling hub catering to the delights of both locals and tourists, looking for a truly quintessential yet totally unique expereince of Australia. It is the epicentre of Australian Made designers and manufacturers and we are proud and excited to be a part of its rich history.
The shop is perfectly timed also in the lead up to Fathers Day too so we will be including some of our favourite mens pieces including our weekender, folios and cardholders for your hubby, partner or father.
Located at number 77½ George St Sydney, The Rocks, we are open:
- Monday – Wednesday – 10 to 6.30pm
- Thursday – 10 to 8pm
- Friday / Saturday – 10 to 7pm
- Sunday – 10 to 5.30pm
