The Power of Collaboration – 6 Australian Labels

The Power of Collaboration – 6 Australian Labels

At Hills & West we love collaborating and working with other home-grown, Australian creatives. Recently I worked on a shoot with six other like-minded and inspiring women. Combining pieces from our collections to style and create some perfect, easy to wear, luxurious ensembles.

With the intent to appeal to independent women who want a curated look, the ensemble included Cedar & Onyx (classic luxury for women of all sizes), Everyday Cashmere(cashmere, silk, and cashmere essentials), Boehm Intimates (lingerie of delicate lace and luxe), Extraordinary Ordinary Day (the holy grail of handmade shoes) and JYJewels(custom made and full of fun jewels).

The idea behind the shoot was to convey the ethos we all shared – to challenge high street fashion and everydayness – targeting conscious consumers who care about the background of what they wear. We wanted to offer a unique and eclectic luxe mix of pieces that assembled into outfits of transitional, gorgeous, day to play wear.

We were connected through our love of quality design and aspirations to make pieces with integrity that give back to the customer: confidence and a sense of physical and mental comfort in what they wear. We are aware that every purchase is a choice and strive to appeal to the individuals whose look is an extension of their personality.

As Kathryn Cowle of Cedar & Onyx eloquently states.

“Design-conscious consumers are less and less interested in dealing with faceless corporations and in disposable garments. An understanding of the design process, the ethos of the designers, whether ethical production methods are employed and where products and materials are sourced from helps consumers know that they are buying quality.”

Please do have a look at these beautiful unique labels. Not only are the pieces stunning, the designers and markers are just gorgeous too.
