Hawker Centres
Singapore’s hawker centers are the heart of its culinary culture—affordable, authentic and home to everything from local classics to Michelin-starred street food.
Lau Pa Sat
Location: 18 Raffles Quay
Highlights: The largest hawker center in the CBD, boasting over 80 food stalls. After 7 PM, it transforms into lively Satay Street with BBQ aromas wafting through the air.
Aisha Tip: Stop by the QT Hotel next door for a happy hour martini before dinner.
Zion Riverside Food Market (local gem)
Location: 70 Zion Rd
Highlights: A hidden gem with local favorites and Michelin-starred bites. Don’t miss the savory carrot cake (a radish-and-egg dish).

Atlas Bar
Location: Parkview Square, 600 North Bridge Rd, Bugis
Highlights: A stunning 1920s-inspired bar known for its glamorous cocktails and phenomenally decadent décor.
Aisha Tip: Dress to impress (no shorts, sneakers or Birkenstocks). Walk-ins are allowed from 5 PM.
Southbridge Rooftop
Location: 80 Boat Quay, Level 5
Highlights: A hidden gem offering epic Marina Bay Sands sunset views. $50 minimum spend.
Aisha Tip: Arrive early for the best spot—or better yet, book in advance.
Kinki Bar
Location: Marina Bay
Highlights: Funky vibes, creative cocktails, and Japanese bites. Happy hour runs from 5 PM to 8 PM.

Bonus Tip: Visit Haji Lane before sunset to watch it transform into a buzzing nightlife hotspot.
Getting Around
Cycle Along the River
Download Anywheel or Hello Ride apps for an eco-friendly way to explore. Cycle from River Valley to Marina Bay Sands, passing Robertson Quay, Clarke Quay and Boat Quay. Keep a lookout for otters.
Aisha Tip: Treat yourself to a local ice cream sandwich near the Fullerton Hotel.
Public Transport
Singapore’s MRT and buses are efficient and affordable. Opt for a day pass for unlimited travel.

– MacRitchie Reservoir & TreeTop Walk: Trek through lush greenery and suspension bridges with plenty of wildlife and moneys galore.
– Labrador Nature Reserve: A scenic coastal trek steeped in WWII history.
– Southern Ridges: Elevated walkways connect parks with breathtaking views.
Tick some of the Tourist Attractions
- Jewel at Changi Airport: Marvel at the world’s tallest indoor waterfall. Check in your bags and go for a wander.
- Marina Bay Sands: Enjoy the light show or panoramic views from the SkyPark. Go at sunset for the most phenomenal view.
- Gardens by the Bay: Visit the Supertrees, Cloud Forest and Flower Dome. If you go at 7.45pm the Super tree music show is rather magical.

Final Tips
- You can submit the electronic health declaration within three (3) days (including the day of your arrival) before your arrival in Singapore. This avoids having to do it at the airport. You can submit it online here.
- Download Grab – it is the local taxi service and super cost effective.
- Stay hydrated and embrace the sweat —Singapore’s heat is crazy!
