Singapore: 9-Day Foodie Adventure
Hosting friends and family in Singapore is always such a joy!
Our most recent guests were foodie lovers from Ireland for their second visit to this vibrant city. After their initial 7-day trip, they were eager for round two, and this time we packed 9 days with an exciting mix of culinary delights, iconic sights and plenty of downtime. Here’s the full itinerary, complete with tips, hidden gems and must-visit spots.
Day 1: Arrival & Tanjong Pagar Delights
After their afternoon flight, we dived straight into Singapore’s culinary scene with dinner at Le Bon Funk in Tanjong Pagar. This intimate wine bar and bistro is perfect for a relaxed yet fabulous welcome dinner. Post-dinner, we strolled over to Moonstone for a pint of Guinness to wrap up the evening.
Day 2: Thai Feasts & Emerald Hill Charm
Jetlag recovery called for a leisurely day. We spent the morning poolside before heading to Little Elephant in Tiong Bahru for a casual late lunch. This Thai spot is a favourite for its outdoor seating and laid-back vibe.
In the evening, we explored Emerald Hill near Orchard Road—a picturesque street lined with colourful shophouses. Drinks at No. 5 Emerald Hill were a highlight, especially their two-for-$30 martini happy hour (don’t miss the strawberry and watermelon flavors!).
Day 3: Beach Club Bliss at Sentosa
After a morning gym session, we headed to Plus Twelve, an adults-only beach club on Palawan Beach, Sentosa. With its fresh sushi, great tunes, and luxurious cabanas, this spot always impresses. A perfect blend of relaxation, indulgence and great tunes!
Day 4: Hawker Eats & Sky-High Sushi
While I tackled some Monday emails, my guests enjoyed the condo pool. Lunch was at Redhill Hawker Centre, a local gem with endless food options.
For dinner, we indulged in Japanese delights at Sushi Samba on Robinson Road. Located on the 57th floor, the panoramic city views were as stunning as the food. (Pro tip: Be patient with the staff—it’s worth it!)
Day 5: Raffles, Vietnamese & Sunset Cocktails
We embraced some touristy vibes with a visit to Raffles Hotel. After strolling through the grounds and browsing the Raffles Boutique, we enjoyed a classic Singapore Sling at the Long Bar.
Lunch was at Co Chung for authentic Vietnamese dishes, followed by sunset drinks at Southbridge. This rooftop spot offers stellar cocktails and views of Marina Bay Sands. We ended the night at Barbary Coast for a cozy nightcap.
Day 6: Dempsey Hill Wanderings
We spent a tranquil day at Dempsey Hill, starting with lunch at the serene Air CCCC. Post-lunch cocktails at The Dempsey Cookhouse and Bar kept the afternoon rolling, with a little retail therapy at Dover Street Market along the way.
Day 7: Golf & Local Gems
While the boys enjoyed a day on the golf course, I caught up on projects. Lunch was at the Great World Food Junction, where we get delicious Vietnamese street food. Afterward, we explored Robertson Quay and wrapped up the day with tacos and margaritas at Super Loco.
Day 8: Birthday Celebrations & Unique Dining
Our final weekend kicked off with a bang at the Mandala Club’s 3rd birthday celebration, followed by dinner at Big Wine Freaks. This hidden gem is perfect for those seeking exceptional food, wine, and ambiance. We capped the night with cocktails at Noa and Sago House (one of Asias top 50 bars), always a favourite for late-night vibes.
Day 9: Farewell with Neon Pigeon
Rain altered our plans for Arab Street and Haji Lane, so we slowed things down with packing and relaxing. Dinner at Neon Pigeon was the perfect farewell—a modern izakaya that’s a staple in my hosting repertoire.
Reflections on the Itinerary
This 9-day adventure struck a perfect balance between showcasing Singapore’s vibrant food and drink scene and allowing for plenty of relaxation. My guests loved every moment, from beachside cocktails to shophouse strolls and I am super excited to share this itinerary with you.
