Dream Bigger, Curiosity Always and Community: 2025 edition

It’s already almost the end of January—how did that happen? And after a quick trip to Bangkok and some flight thinking time, I’ve been reflecting on the past year and what I want to carry forward into this one. It’s a bit late, but better late than never, right?

I’ve been thinking about the values and lessons that not only shaped 2024 but continue to guide me every year. They’re simple, but they’re the foundation for everything I do, both in life and in my work.

While I dream of creating some groundbreaking, WOW-worthy ideas for 2025, it’s these core lessons that keep me grounded, inspired, and always moving forward. So here they are—I hope they resonate with you!

 

Dream it, do it, live it.
Big ideas require bold actions. It’s one thing to dream, but pairing passion with a solid plan? That’s where the magic happens. This year, I’m leaning into this mantra more than ever as I work on Atelier V&A (more to come on that soon). It’s a reminder that nothing worth having comes without vision, action, and a little leap of faith.

 

Stay curious, stay inspired.
For me, curiosity is the spark for creativity. It’s about being open to new ideas, collaborations, and even perspectives you might not have considered before. My best friend, who passed over three years ago, used to always say, “Why not?”—a simple phrase, but one that has stayed with me as she had no fear and always asked what is the worst thing that can happen… Those two words became my reminder of how precious and fleeting life is. It’s too short not to try new things, to push boundaries, and to ask, “Why not?” even when it feels scary or uncertain.

This year, I’m doubling down on exploring, questioning, and staying open to whatever comes my way. And with so many exciting collaborations in progress, I’m trusting my gut and leaning into wherever the universe is taking me.

 

Community is the heart of it all.
No matter what you’re building—whether it’s a business, a home or a dream—having a supportive community makes all the difference. For me, 2024 had its challenges as I navigated starting over and building a life and tribe here in Singapore. Always juggling between Sydney and Singapore, never having enough time for everyone, and pounding the pavement again after already setting roots in London, then Sydney, then Melbourne, and Sydney again. However, now, as we step into 2025 in Singapore, I feel like I’ve finally found my people and my business—and my design dreams—are blossoming.

 

It’s a joy to be surrounded by incredible friends, collaborators, and clients who challenge and inspire me in the best ways. Together, we create better, dream bigger, and support each other in ways that truly matter.

 

As we move forward, I’m keeping these lessons close to my heart. They’re not just principles—they’re a way of life.

So here’s to 2025: dreaming bigger, staying curious, and creating even more magic—together.
